Formula B Continental Series Cars Now Official Run Group 2026 Velocity Invitational, May 29-31, Sonoma
The SCCA pro-Continental Series for Formula A, B, C cars began in 1967 and was won by Gus Hutchinson in a FB Lotus 41C against a few 3-Liter F-1 cars and fields as large as 45 Formula Bs.
In 1968, F-5000 cars were allowed in FA and the top 10 race finishing cars were a mix of FB and F-5000 with the F-5000 usually winning. Lou Sell, driving a Dan Gurney All American F-5000 car was champion.
In 1969-1775 the pro-FB Continental was now for Formula B cars and a separate Formula 5000 series began.
