September 12-14 VSCDA Ariens Art on Wheels Celebrates Road America 70th, 1955-2025
Over 340 VSCDA vintage racers will be racing cars from all those 70 years back to the September 10-11 2025 first first Road America weekend. A big display will be in the paddock of vintage cars that represent all the great cars and series of those 70 years. The display and cars on track will include the types of cars competing in the SCCA National Championship of that first 1955 weekend. The first race at Road America September 10, was won by an MGTC driven by Roy Heath of Salina, Kansas. The Sunday feature was won by Phil Hill driving George Tilps Ferrari Monza who edged out Sherwood Johnson in Briggs Cunningham's D Jaguar. The great series contested at Road America also include June Sprints, Road America 500, USRRC, Can-Am, F 5000, FB, Trans-Am, American Le Mans, IMSA, CART, IndyCars and vintage since 1982.
