The USRRC Tribute group had an enthusiastic turnout for their Saturday March 7 feature during the HMSA Spring Club Event on the legendary Laguna Seca circuit. Mike Summers, founder of the USRRC Tribute vintage racing special features group, reports that the over 2 liter winner was Mac McGarry in his ex-Chuck Parsons Genie Mk10. The under 2 liter winner was Duke Zander in a Lotus 23.
The next USRRC Tribute race will be Saturday May 30 during the May 28-31 CSRG David Love Vintage Races. The six county Bay Area COVID19 stay-at-home, with sporting events specifically banned, has just been extended through the end of May putting that vintage race in question at Sonoma Raceway.
On an optimistic note, USRRC Tribute Feature will be held with the CSRG Charity Challenge October 2-4 at Sonoma Raceway and the CSRG Fall Finale, October 30-November 1.
