Automobilia Monterey Collectables Show Aug 15-17, Expo Booth Reservations are Due NOW

This annual expo during Monterey Car Week attracts a variety of exhibitors and crowds of buyers for every sort of auto original collectables. They include: paintings, race posters, books, race programs, auto models, parts, race results, celebrity driver apparel, sculptures, period race photos, car badges, hood ornaments, literature, patches/pins, trophies and more. Expo booth reservations close April 10.

Formula B Cars Are the Stars of 55th Anniversary Continental Grand Prix Series Celebration

A Formula B Lotus 41C was the car used by Gus Hutchinson to win SCCA's first pro formula series, the 1967 SCCA Continental Grand Prix Series for Formula A, B, C cars.  Other competitive FB cars in 1967 included Brabham BT21, Le Grand Mk3B, Lotus 22, Brabham BT7, Lotus 27-32, Lola Mk3, Brabham BT6, Bourgeault Mk6, Cooper 59, Elva 300.  Almost all the FB cars were powered by the 1600cc Lotus Ford Twin Cam, most tuned by Cosworth or BRM.

The SCCA pro-formula series in 1968 combined F5000 and FB cars.  From 1969 through 1973 the FB cars had their own SCCA pro series. Top three championship FB cars in each year were: 1967; Lotus 41C, LeGrand Mk6, Brabham BT21, 1968; McLaren 4B, Lotus 41C, Lotus 41C, 1969; Brabham BT18, Lotus 59, Chevron B15, 1970; Lotus 59/69, Chevron B17, Brabham BT29, 1971; Brabham BT35, Brabham BT35, Lotus 69, 1972; Merlyn Mk21, March 722, March 71B, 1973; Lotus 59/69, Brabham BT40, Brabham BT40.

Dan Gurney's All American Racers Eagle Racing Cars

Featured July 15-17 at Road America's International Challenge

The legendary AAR Eagles won in Formula One, USAC/CART series, SCCA Formula Ford, IMSA Enduros, SCCA F5000 series and The Indy 500.  Over 30 of these great racing cars are expected to be displayed in a special marquee all weekend.  These Eagles will also be featured in daily special on-track demonstration sessions and in several vintage race groups Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This is one of North America's largest vintage and historic racing weekends, annually attracting over 400 participants and 50,000 spectators to a program of vintage racing, concours and and on-track tours.

SOVREN Spring Sprints

April 22-24 Pacific Raceways Includes Novice Friday

Saturday and Sunday are full days of racing.  Friday is novice orientation and Test and Tune for all.  This is the opening event for SOVREN's five vintage racing weekend event season in 2022.  These include two major spectator weekends: July 1-3 Pacific Northwest Historics featuring Lotus and September 10-11 at Portland International Raceway featuring British cars.

Three Days of VDCA/VRG Vintage Racing

April 1-3 At VIR With Spirited Competition and Camaraderie

It is three days of on-track practice, qualifying, sprint races and two special Enduros plus a Saturday sit down dinner in The Gallery, all on legendary Virginia International Raceway.  The Friday Enduro is the Wild Hare Run, an Australian Pursuit Race.  The Vintage Enduro is on Sunday morning.  VDCA is the organizing club with VRG members accepted at  VDCA member rates.  Cars and Drivers meeting VDCA, VRG, VSCCA and VSCDA requirements are invited.

April Vintage Drivers Schools

Two April Get Started In Vintage Racing Drivers Schools: RMVR April 23-24 Colorado, VSCDA April 28-May 1 Michigan

The RMVR  school is a full weekend at Pikes Peak Raceway at Fountain, Colorado.  The competition school requires a vintage race car and full race apparel to RMVR standards.

This is part of a 4 day vintage racing weekend that opens the two vintage racing weekend Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix and Festival. This 2.8 mile, 19 turn circuit will host every class of vintage racers Thursday through Sunday        July 14-17.

Austin Healey Sprite and MG Midgets Featured During July 22-24 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix

The true road circuit through Schenley Park will be the site of a weekend of vintage racing.  Over a dozen races each day for all vintage classes will be held to entertain the largest spectator crowd of any North American vintage race.

Vintage Racing Resources In Seven Regions Featured in Eight Pages March victorylane.com

Victory Lane Magazine for over 35 years is the vintage racers favorite focusing on presenting and promoting vintage racers, vintage racing clubs, host circuits and all the resources to support vintage racers.  It is published online on the first of each month since July 2020, and in print prior to that since 1986.
